St Pio Festival 2013
The St. Padre Pio Festival is a yearly event held in the Village of Tuckahoe, NY. The festival honors the life and good works of St. Padre Pio. Tuckahoe’s population, being predominately Italian-American, attends the event as a yearly tradition. An italian spoken mass takes place the first night of the festivities, and the St. Pio statue is carried in a candle-lit procession throughout the town, down to the Generoso Pope Foundation. On the next day of the event, a free concert is held for all those who attend. It has grown over the years to an excess of over 5,000 people.
The featured entertainment were widely known. Two of the artists were international, so they had to be flown in for the event. 103.5 KTU’s Hollywood Hamilton hosted the event. Click the song names to watch the music videos on Youtube.
